What is a garden coach?
As a coach I would mentor you, helping you to develop your gardening skills in your own garden, as well making onsite design suggestions, ideas for plant selection and outlining maintenance projects for the coming months. I hope to enthuse you about your garden!
Who is it for?
A coach is for anyone who wants to know more and how to go about it. You may be a keen amateur who requires a little guidance in one or more of the areas above or an experienced gardener who might want a second opinion to bounce ideas off. People new to gardening or first time buyers with a wilderness to tame may like help in identifying trees, shrubs and plants combined with a monthly step by step guide and a must-have tool list. Homeowners hoping to sell their homes may require some help in preparing the garden for re-sale and making that first viewing count.
Depending on your skill level I can teach you various horticultural practices such as pruning, planting out and simple design ideas to implement. If you have a specific need, such as how to grow your own vegetables, then I’m happy to concentrate on that.
How does it work?
Depending on what you and your garden need, I would recommend a series of sessions over the course of a year. For example – four 2 hour sessions at 3 monthly intervals. This will give us an insight to the garden in each season and will give you a chance to put into practice anything we discuss over the coming months as well.
What does it cost?
Prices start at £45 per hour within London.
